Torque
is a powerful 3 piece that combines melodic and hardcore riffs with
melodic and hard edge vocals to give itself a very unique sound that
puts them in a class all by themselves. From the huge wall of sound
that sounds like 3 guitars you have Louis "El Guapo" Burton
who gives Torque an exploding, harmonic head banging, and powerful
sound that is complimented with his unique style of vocals that is
both clean, hard edge, and very powerful. Then there's Lars Ivie that
locks the bottom end of this 3 piece with his dynamic bass playing
and unique style that's locked with the drums but is yet complimented
with the guitar and he makes for one hell of a wild man on stage entertaining
the crowd. Last but definitely not least you have Jared "Bam
Bam" Bigelow who's the solid backbone of Torque with his unique
drumming ability, thunderous double bass, energetic style, powerful
yet dynamic hitting, solid time keeping, and the scream and growl
of Torque. Now you have Torque one solid band that is true to the
words UNIQUE and PROFESSIONAL BAND. From the words of Charlie Camorata,
President of Skreem Records, "there is just so much energy on
these CD's I am just amazed". If you think that there is energy
on the CD just come see the live show and be prepared for one hell
of an intense energetic live show.
This 3 piece has been going strong since 1999 and with each passing year
they push themselves to a new level and to new extremes. To see the
Torque boys in action would be something you would not soon forget,
with their unforgettable sound, energetic performance, stage presence,
live chemistry, and their overall personalities it makes up for one
hell of a band that will find its way to the top. The boys from Torque
entertained the crowds at the 2002 winter Olympics playing 4 shows,
at one of those shows was at the Winterfest tent in the heart of all
the action the night before closing ceremonies. Torque was the opening
act but due to over 2000 screaming fans chanting Torque during the
headliners performance, Torque ended up closing out the night after
the headliner finished their last song (with no encore) on the headliners
gear. This made the whole crowd go wild and made the night very memorable
for Torque.
Torque has released 4 albums and has been on one compilation CD since their
beginning. With the release of their 4th album "Time To Die"
in 2006 they kicked off that release with a 2 month European tour.
2 weeks into our European tour, Torque was picked up by Skreem Records
to help out on the tour and with distributing our CD "Time To
Die". Overall Torque has sold thousands and thousands of copies
of their CD's over the years and "Time To Die" has been
no different. It has sold several thousand of copies. Torque is releasing
a "Best Of Torque" the summer of 2008 and a new CD around
the end of 2008 or the beginning of 2009, so be ready for the 2 new
Torque CD's. The new release will be the best one yet with the original
line up back and the chemistry stronger than ever. Just wait for this
one we can promise you will not be disappointed.
Torque is here to stay and looks forward to entertaining the world more and
for years to come. Torque also looks forward to making you part of
the Torque Posse.
